Westcom Group Pty Ltd (Westcom) are committed to the supply of high-quality products and services, conducting its activities with zero harm to personnel, property and working in an environmentally sustainable manner and to minimise their environmental impacts.

SCOPE

The Scope of our Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Integrated Management System (HSEQ IMS ) is to specify our policies, objectives, responsibilities and requirements to ensure that the technical, administrative, and human factors that affect the quality of our products, the health and safety of our workers and our environmental impacts are adequately defined, under control and continually improved.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this policy are achieved through the implementation of the HSEQ IMS documented in the HSEQ IMS Manual and its referenced documents. We are committed to:

  • Identifying and assessing occupational health and safety hazards / risk and environmental aspects / impacts,
  •  Managing health and safety risks and environmental impacts, with the aim of eliminating hazards and reducing risks/ impacts,
  • Providing safe and healthy working conditions with the aim of preventing work related injury and/or ill health both physically and mentally in accordance with purpose, size, context of the organisation and it’s specific risks and opportunities,
  • Involve all Company employees in workplace health and safety management through consultation and by contributing to identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks and reviewing workplace
    health and safety performance,
  • Protecting the environment including the prevention of pollution,
  • Compliance with relevant legislation, customer requirements and any other applicable requirements
  • To fulfil or exceed Customer needs and expectations by delivering a quality product in a consistent
    and timely manner
  • To cultivate and maintain the commitment to Continuous improvement of our quality, occupational health, safety and environmental performance, through the setting and review of objectives & KPls,
  • Provide adequate resources to achieve The Company Objectives and Targets.
  • Achieving high standards of quality in all business practices
    and operations without compromise.
  • continually improving our company performance, while
    offering our customers a safe, cost effective and professional service
  • Communicating this policy with any interested parties, including employees, customers and suppliers,
  • Reviewing this policy at the management review meeting ensuring that all policies, systems & procedures meet the requirements of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001, AS/ NZ 4801.

The following objectives also apply to all workers, who additionally have a responsibility towards their own health and safety and of others affected by their actions;

  •  A commitment to zero harm through the identification and reporting of hazards and incidents.
  • Participating in HSEQ initiatives as directed by The Company.
  • Complying with this Policy, HSEQ Integrated Management System, Workplace Health and Safety legislation and client requirements always.
  • Assessing any hazards and implementing appropriate risk controls prior to commencing any work tasks with the aim of reducing any risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
